The new Ambassador of Panama to the Hellenic Republic, Aymard Hiram Jimenez Granda, took to the Deputy Foreign Minister, Francisco Alvarez De Soto.
The New Ambassador Jimenez Granda, a lawyer for the University of Science and Technology of Panama, specializing in Commercial Law from the University of Wales in the UK, with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Science and Technology. USA-Hong Kong and authorized public translator, has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
With this designation, the Government intends to continue strengthening established diplomatic relations in 1956, and is revived with the visit of the President of the Republic, Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal, in June last, time that he met with President Greece, Karolos Papoulias, and members of the maritime industry.
Greece represents for Panama one of its main trading partners in the maritime sector, taking into account that the registration of ships under the Panamanian flag reaches 9000 53 ships and 15 percent of this number belongs to the Greek fleet.
