The Board of Directors of the Panama Canal Authority appointed, this morning, Ricaurte Vásquez, as the administrator of the interoceanic highway for the next seven years.
Vásquez, was Minister of Economy and Finance during the administration of Martín Torrijos and will replace Jorge Luis Quijano in the position.

The board of directors interviewed each of the candidates and concluded that Ricaurte Vásquez is the candidate with the “best profile” for the position of administrator of the ACP.
Each one of the candidates was evaluated their competences, experiences and traits.
